Winter Wonderland Concert Update

There has been an overwhelming number of requests for the evening show and unfortunately the evening show is now sold out.   We have notified those families affected today that we are not able to fill their requests for evening tickets.  Tickets were processed in the order they were received in the office.  We are only allowed to issue a limited number of tickets in order to comply with fire regulations.

There are a limited number of tickets left for the afternoon show (we have approximately 100 seats still available) which we are holding for families unable to get evening tickets.

If you ordered evening tickets and either:  1) are not not able to attend 2) could switch to daytime tickets or 3) do not need all the tickets you ordered anymore, please let Karen, kdalep@sd61.bc.ca, know as soon as possible.

Thank you,

Strawberry Vale Staff

Our winter concert, Winter Wonderland is fast approaching! There will be two performances:

Ticket request forms will be going home on Monday November 26th .

  • Afternoon Performance: Thursday, December 13th at 1:15pm
  • Evening Performance: Thursday, December 13th at 6:30 pm

We have approximately 220 families in our school. The Fire Marshall regulates how many people can be in the gym at a given time, and due to this regulation, we must limit the seating to FOUR tickets per family!  Tickets will be given out on a first come first served basis, so please get your ticket requests into the office as quickly as possible! (ticket request forms will be going home on Monday November 26th)  Your tickets will come home with your youngest or only child on Monday, December 10th.  Families who find they are unable to attend on the day of the concert are asked to call or email the school so the ticket(s) can be re-deployed immediately.

Your family will only receive ticket priority for one performance.  We request that you and your family remain in attendance for the entire show.  Siblings may attend, but require a ticket.   Tickets for all performances will be collected at the door, admittance will not be granted without a ticket.

We look forward to seeing you at our Winter Wonderland concert.

Winter Wonderland information letter

The concert will include performances from our strings students (under the direction of Mrs. Whyte), the Strawberry Vale Choir (under the direction of Ms. Parlee, accompanied by Mr. Martin), and songs by all Strawberry Vale students organized by grade groups.

Costuming for the concert is very simple as we are seeking winter colors (whites, blues, etc.)
Choir and Strings students will have their uniform of black bottoms and white tops.

Song recordings for practice can be found on the music weebly site: https://strawberryvalemusic.weebly.com/general-music-updates

Are you able to help with concert preparations or supporting supervision?  Let Mr. Martin know at mamartin@sd61.bc.ca
