Welcome Back BBQ
Welcome Back Potluck BBQ and Teacher Meet and Greet
Thursday, September 12th 5:00 -7:00 pm
The PAC is pleased to invite you to the annual Welcome Back BBQ which will take place from 5-6 PM on the basketball courts at the front of the school. The BBQ is potluck-style with hot dogs and hamburgers generously supplied by Country Grocer. Families are asked to bring a dessert (Grades 1-2), appetizer (Grade 3) or salad (Grades 4-5) to share. These are suggestions only to ensure some variety – if you would like to bring your favourite dish instead, please feel free to do so. (Please remember to label your containers with your child’s name and division and please pick-up your serving dishes even if they are disposable BEFORE heading into the classrooms to meet your child’s teacher.)
We are looking for volunteers to help on the day of the event.

As we have several life threatening allergies, please ensure all dishes are nut-free and peanut-free.
In line with being a green-school, we ask that all families bring their own reusable plates, cutlery and water bottles. You may also consider bringing folding chairs or a picnic blanket.
Following the BBQ there will be a teacher meet & greet in the classrooms from 6-7PM. This is a great opportunity to introduce yourself to your child(ren)’s teacher(s) and see your child(ren)’s classroom.
Also at the BBQ, Walk-a-thon school T-shirt samples will be available and families can order extras (adult sizes and siblings). There will also be emergency supplies will be available for purchase and the ‘super water tanker’ will be available for families to see what the earthquake donations are going to this year.
We look forward to meeting new families and welcoming returning families.
