Strawberry Vale Return to School – June 2020
Please read through all of the information in this email carefully before your child returns to school next week.
If your plans have changed and your child will no longer be attending in June or you would now like your child to return in June please contact the Office. We will work to accommodate late requests but because we are limited in the number of students we can have in a class at one time we may not be able to return your child to their regular classroom but instead your child may be placed in a different classroom at the same grade level.
Attached are the Strawberry Vale Guidelines for returning to school in June. SVE Return to School Guidelines June 2020.pdf It is vital that all returning families go through this information before their child returns to school in June to help ensure the safety of all students, staff and families. You will find health and safety reminders and well as information about which doors to use during the day, drop off / pick up times and procedures, what students should bring with them each day, how to access the Office and handwashing reminders. If you have any questions please contact the Office.
Below is a chart indicating which days of the week your child’s class will be attending. The majority of students and all siblings will be attending on Monday / Tuesday. In order to follow Health and Safety Guidelines we have had to split some classes into two groups. In those classes, students will attend Monday/Tuesday or Wednesday/Thursday. Families in these classes will be informed by the end of the day on Thursday, May 28 by their classroom teacher which day their child will be attending.
SVE Return to School Checklist
Stay Home When Sick
All parents and caregivers have the responsibility to assess their children daily for symptoms of COVID-19, the common cold, influenza or other respiratory infectious diseases before sending them to school. Any students who have or display symptoms of COVD-19 or the common cold, influenza or other infectious respiratory diseases must stay home and contact 811, a family physician or nurse practitioner to assess their symptoms and receive advice on next steps before they can return to school. Students who display symptoms while at school will be immediately removed from class and isolated in our medical room until a caregiver can take them home. |
