Beach day June 12th
Friday is Strawberry Vale’s Beach Day at Island View Beach. Here are some reminders for everyone:
- Beach Day is an all-weather event. We are unable to reschedule the buses or the space on the beach so please make sure your child is prepared for the weather.
- We will be leaving by bus from Strawberry Vale at approx. 9:15 am and returning by 2:00 pm.
- There is NO PARKING in the front parking lot drop off lane in the morning. We will need the space to park the buses.
- There will be no teachers or EAs remaining at Strawberry Vale during the day so being on time for the bus ride is very important.
- Students are welcome to bring small shovels, buckets and beach toys with them to the beach. All items should be labelled and students must be able to carry everything with them.
- Students should have enough food and water for the day. There is no water fountain to use or to refill water bottles.
- Students will be able to enter the water up to their knees so having appropriate footwear for the day to go in and out of the water as well as explore the beach will be important.
- Families are welcome to meet us at Island View Beach and join us for the day. If you plan to stay longer or take your child home early from the beach please speak directly to your child’s teacher.
