The following information about our upcoming Beach Day was sent home with students today on a green piece of paper. Please return the bottom portion of the form no later than Tuesday, June 11.

Strawberry Vale Beach Day is back! After a long hiatus, all Strawberry Vale students and staff will be going on a field trip to Island View Beach on Friday, June 14^th for Beach Day. We will be at Island View Beach for most of the day, leaving the school at approx. 9:15 am and then returning from Island View Beach at approx. 2:00 pm. We will be taking school buses to and from the beach. A huge thank you goes out to the Strawberry Vale PAC who will be providing the funding for the buses.

 All students must return the attached permission form at the bottom of this sheet to attend this Field Trip. If you know your child will be away from school on June 14^th please indicate below. Students are expected to be at school on time on June 14^th in order for teachers to take attendance and organize for the bus ride. This is a school wide field trip and it is expected that students will ride on the bus to Island View Beach with their classmates. There will be no teachers or EAs remaining at Strawberry Vale during the day so being on time for the bus ride is very important.

 Families are welcome to meet us at Island View Beach and join us for the day. There will be a designated area for Strawberry Vale students to play in while at the beach and you are welcome to setup in that area. If you plan to stay longer at the beach with your child or you are driving your child home from Island View Beach please inform your child’s teacher directly.

 Beach Day will take place rain or shine so please make sure your child is prepared for the day with the correct clothing, food and water for the day. Students are welcome to bring small beach toys with them but students are responsible for their own items and they must be able to carry what they bring. All items should be labelled with the student’s name.

 Students will be able to enter the water up to their knees so having appropriate footwear for the day to go in and out of the water as well as explore the beach will be important.

 We will email out a reminder just before Beach Day but if you have any questions please connect with your child’s teacher or contact us in the Office.
