Mark your calendars!  The Monster Ball is fast approaching on Friday, October 28th from 6-8pm.  Doors will open at 5:45pm.  There will be a suggested donation at the door of $2 or a non-perishable food item.  50% of door sales and the non-perishable food items will be donated to a local charity.

There will be a cash only concession with pizza, chips, drinks, and glow bracelets. A price list will come out before the Monster Ball. From October 19th – 28th, the kids can participate in the Spider Guess!  For 25c per ballot, the students will be able to submit a ballot to guess the number of spiders in the jar.  We will have prizes for closest guess and also have a draw with the same ballots.  Please watch this space for a separate email with more details around both the spider count and the monster ball.  We can’t wait to see you!

Monster Ball reminders from Mr. Thomas

The Monster Ball is a family friendly costume dance for Strawberry Vale families and costumes for the evening need to be appropriate for Elementary School. Our students range from 4 to 10 years old and many will bring younger siblings with them as well. Please keep this in mind when planning your costume. All toy guns, swords, blasters, weapons, etc and violent props must be left at home and in order to know who is attending the Monster Ball full costume masks are not permitted. Face paint and half masks such as masquerade masks are allowed and of course those individuals choosing to wear a medical mask are permitted to do so.

Finally, we have a capacity limit of 500 people in the gym. Should we reach that capacity limit, we will have to have people wait outside until space opens up. If you are planning to arrive later in the night please keep this in mind.
