Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration and Kindergarten transfer process will take place next week between January 20 – January 24, 2020.  To be eligible to start Kindergarten in September 2020, a child must be five years old by December 31, 2020.

To register a student for Kindergarten, parents and guardians must register their child at their catchment school. If you have an older child at Strawberry Vale and live out of the catchment area you must register your child at the catchment school and apply for a transfer to Strawberry Vale. Every school has a catchment boundary, which determines which students in a geographical area are eligible to attend a specific school. It is important to note that new catchment boundaries will be in effect for the 2020-21 school year, altering some school boundaries and introducing new catchments. Parents and guardians who wish to have their Kindergarten child attend a school other than their designated catchment can apply for a transfer. To apply for a non-catchment school, parents can submit a transfer request at the time of registration at their catchment school. To save parents a trip, Kindergarten transfer requests are now filed at the catchment school and not returned to the Board office.

English Kindergarten Registration will be processed on a first come first served basis in accordance with our Student Enrolment Priorities.

Student enrolment priorities
