DESCRIPTION:Starting on November 12th\, the Scholastic Book Fair will be open for business in the library! The fair will be open after school until 3:30 from November 12-14th. \n  \nThe purpose of the Book Fair is\, primarily\, to promote reading. Scholastic’s selection of high-interest titles is geared towards students in grades K-5. The book fair is also a wonderful fundraiser. In supporting the Book Fair\, not only will you have the opportunity to add to your home or classroom library\, but you will also be supporting your school library. A portion of each purchase goes towards the purchase of new library books!

DESCRIPTION:PAC FUN LUNCH ORDER INFORMATION \nOur next fun lunch\, for those wishing to participate\, will happen on Friday\, November 14.  We are excited to share that we will be having The Hot Dog Guys!  The lunch will include 5 choices of gourmet hot dogs with your choice of beef\, chicken\, or veggie and a spin on the traditional with a pizza dog or cheese smokie.  A side of tater tots can also be purchased.  Options for the type of hot dog\, including the type of bun (gluten-free option available)\, cheese\, and condiments\, will appear as check boxes on the cash online system.  Additional details are below: \n\nOrders can only be placed online at sd61.schoolcashonline.com\nOnline ordering will go live Monday\, October 27th and will close at the end of the day on Thursday\, November 6th.\nNo late orders or changes can be made.\nPlease order for each child separately.\n\nNo child will be excluded from our fun lunch program due to an inability to pay.  If you require support for this\, please contact our Principal\, Sarah Winkler\, or Vice Principal\, Carey Nickerson.

SUMMARY:PAC Movie Night
DESCRIPTION:PAC Movie Night – Kindergarten to Grade 2  \nOur movie night for K-grade 2 students is happening on Friday\, November 28th!  Doors will open at 5pm.  The movie\, MOANA 2\, will start at 5:30pm.  Come in your comfy pajamas and bring along a pillow and blanket for some cinematic family fun in the gym! \n**Students of all ages are welcome to attend; however\, the movie will be geared towards the K-grade 2 age group.  Parents are responsible for ensuring the suitability of the movie for their own children and their behaviour during the movie. \nThere will be a suggested donation at the door of $2/person\, a non-perishable food item\, or a gently used toy in preparation for our toy drive.  50% of door sales and the non-perishable food items will be donated to a local charity. \nThere will be a cash only concession with pizza\, popcorn\, chips\, and drinks.  We do encourage families to bring their own water bottles for refilling at the fountain.  Pricing for the concession are as follows: \n\nPizza Slice $4\nHalf Pizza $15\nWhole Pizza $25\nChips $1\nPopcorn $1\nJuice $1\nWater $1\n\nAs a fun bonus\, find a token in your popcorn and trade that in at the concession for a prize!  Prizes will include Cineplex movie passes\, Flying Squirrel passes\, Saanich Recreations Passes\, Tim Horton’s Gift Cards\, Book Fair Certificates\, and more! \nWe will be looking for volunteers to help during the event.  A Signup Genius can be found here:  \nhttps://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0948A4AA2EA3FE3-60234655-family
