SUMMARY:Community Values Coupon Book Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:On Monday\, October 6th\, you will find in your child’s backpack a Community Values plastic bag that will contain the Community Values Coupon Book\, the letter to parents describing the fundraiser\, the order form (double-sided sheet)\, and a flyer with information on the prizes the students have the opportunity to win based on the number of coupon books sold.  Please note that the coupon books will be sent home with the youngest student in each family.  \nIf your family does not wish to buy or sell these books\, please return the coupon book in the plastic bag it came in ASAP\, as this is not a free book. \nA few points about the fundraiser: \n\nBooks can be purchased and sold up until October 17th.\nOver $6\,000 in savings at businesses in the Greater Victoria Area.\nBooks can be purchased for $35 via the cash online system\, cash\, or cheque.  Please make cheques payable to Strawberry Vale PAC with your child’s name and division on the memo line.\nIf you are paying via the cash online system\, please still fill out the order form with how many books you ordered\, and indicate that you have paid online.\nPlease use the order form provided.  Loose envelopes with no name or division make it very difficult to track who it belongs to.\nPlease put the order form and money collected in the plastic bag provided as this will make reconciling orders more efficient.\nBooks can be purchased via 2 ways:  You can purchase the book that came home with your child for $35.  You can also sell additional books to extended family members\, friends\, or neighbours.  If you are selling books\, you will have to collect the money and return the order form and the money in the plastic bag that came home. SUMMARY:PAC Monster Ball
DESCRIPTION:The PAC is excited to be hosting The Monster Ball again this year!  Mark your calendars for Wednesday\, October 22nd from 6-8pm.  Doors will open at 5:45pm.  For our new SVE families\, this is our most popular event.  The students are able to wear their costumes and have fun dancing to a live DJ.  There will be a suggested donation at the door of $2\, a non-perishable food item\, or a gently used toy.  50% of door sales and the non-perishable food items will be donated to a local charity and the toys will be used for our upcoming Toy Drive in December. \nThere will be a cash only concession with pizza\, chips\, drinks\, and glow bracelets.  Prices for concession are as follows: \n\nPizza Slice $4\nHalf Pizza $15\nWhole Pizza $25\nChips $1\nJuice $1\nWater $1\nGlow Bracelets $1\n\nIn order to have the event be as successful as possible\, we will require volunteers to help before\, during\, and after the event.  A link to the SignUp Genius will be included in the weekly update starting next week. \nWe will also have the return of the Spider Guess this year.  It will be happening on Wednesday\, October 15th and will run until the end of school day\, October 22nd.  For 25c per ballot\, the students will be able to submit a ballot to guess the number of spiders in the jar.  We will have prizes for closest guess and also have a draw with the same ballots. \nPlease email the PAC at pacsve@gmail.com with any questions you may have.
