SUMMARY:PAC Movie Night
DESCRIPTION:Our movie night for grade 3-5 students is happening on Friday\, March 1st!  Doors will open at 6pm.  The movie\, Super Mario Brothers\, will start at 6:30pm.  Come in your comfy pajamas and bring along a pillow and blanket for some cinematic family fun in the gym! \n**Students of all ages are welcome to attend; however\, the movie will be geared towards the grade 3-5 age group.  Parents are responsible for ensuring the suitability of the movie for their own children and their behaviour during the movie. \nThere will be a suggested donation at the door of $2/person or a non-perishable food item.  50% of door sales and the non-perishable food items will be donated to a local charity. \nThere will be a cash only concession with pizza\, popcorn\, chips\, and drinks.  We do encourage families to bring their own water bottles for refilling at the fountain.  Prices for concession are as follows: \n\nPizza Slice $3\nHalf Pizza $12\nWhole Pizza $20\nPopcorn $1\nChips $1\nJuice $1\nWater $1\n\nAs a fun bonus\, find a token in your popcorn and trade that in at the concession for a prize!  Prizes will include Cineplex movie passes\, Flying Squirrel passes\, Saanich Recreations Passes\, Tim Horton’s Gift Cards\, Book Fair Certificates\, and more! \nWe will be looking for volunteers to help during the event.  A Signup Genius can be found here: \nhttps://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0948A4AA2EA3FE3-family5 \nThere will be a Popcorn Kernel guess happening the week of February 26th – March 1st. DESCRIPTION:Russell Books’ Fair \nStarting on Wednesday\, May 29th\, the Russell Books’ Fair will be open for business in the library! The fair will be open after school until 3:30 from May 29th-31st.  \nThe purpose of the Book Fair is\, primarily\, to promote reading. Russell’s selection of high-interest titles is geared towards students in grades K-5. The book fair is also a wonderful fundraiser. In supporting the Book Fair\, not only will you have the opportunity to add to your home or classroom library\, but you will also be supporting your school library. A portion of each purchase goes towards the purchase of new library books!

DESCRIPTION:Community Value Coupon Books \nOn Tuesday\, October 1st\, you will find in your child’s backpack a Community Values plastic bag that will contain the Community Values Coupon Book\, the letter to parents describing the fundraiser and the order form (double sided sheet)\, and a flyer with information on the prizes the students have the opportunity to win based on the number of coupon books sold.  Please note that the coupon books will be sent home with the youngest student in each family. \nIf your family does not wish to buy or sell these books\, please return the coupon book in the plastic bag they came in ASAP as this is not a free book. \nA few points about the fundraiser: \n\nBooks can be purchased and sold up until October 11th.\nOver $6\,000 in savings at businesses in the Greater Victoria Area.\nBooks can be purchased for $35 via cash or cheque only.  Please make cheques payable to Strawberry Vale PAC with your child’s name and division on the memo line.\nPlease use the order form provided.  Loose envelopes with no name or division make it very difficult to track who it belongs to.\nPlease put the order form and money collected in the plastic bag provided as this will make reconciling orders more efficient.\nBooks can be purchased via 2 ways:  You can purchase the book that came home with your child for $35.  You can also sell additional books to extended family members\, friends\, or neighbours.  If you are selling books\, you will have to collect the money and return the order form and the money in the plastic bag that came home.
